I wanted to prove to not only my family, but also my school and community, that I could go above and beyond expected limitations that society had already placed on female minority students such as myself. There was never any doubt that I would be attending college; however, there was a huge financial burden that was placed on not only myself, but also my parents... I can’t express how much this has changed my life. Not only will this insure of my college education, it also provides me with the inspiration and drive to carry out my life long dream of entering Medical School...
